Help Us Go "Green"
AAO-HNSF is dedicated to reducing the environmental influence of our conference—and we need your help.
As part of our commitment to go green and help reduce our environmental footprint, please donate your unwanted conference bags, name badges, and conference materials at the end of the meeting.
Collection bins will be located at the Registration area in the North Lobby and in the Northeast Lobby near the shuttle bus drop-off. Donations will go to Boston charities and will help many local citizens in need.
Additional "green" facts about the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC) and our AAO-HNSF partners:
Sensor-controlled lighting is used throughout the convention center, in the executive offices, and in meeting and conference rooms to turn off lights when not in use.
The convention center offers large spring water coolers in each meeting room, rather than individual bottles, reducing waste.
Restrooms have low-flow toilets and other water-saving devices, and restroom paper products are made of 100 percent recycled content (25 percent to 35 percent post-consumer).
The BCEC uses only "green" cleaning products.
The BCEC recycles the following materials: food waste, metals, bottles, cans, carpet, and padding.
SEAT Planners, our shuttle bus provider, has made a generous donation to the Conservation Fund on our behalf to offset 9.06 tons of carbon dioxide emissions (a "carbon offset").
