Learning Opportunities Extend to the OTO EXPO

The AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting & OTO EXPO℠  exhibit hall offers a variety of learning experiences where you can see how products, devices, and services can help improve your practice. The OTO EXPO is open today through Tuesday from Hall C through Hall E of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.

This year, the schedule of education sessions has been changed to give you more control of your learning options, making it easier to find time to visit the exhibit hall to see the products and technology discussed in those sessions. Here is a breakdown of what can be found throughout the halls.

Visit the ENTConnect Booth, #324, where you can engage other Members and learn about ENTConnect, the official online community of AAO-HNS. Visit Hall C to check in at the booth, develop your ENTConnect profile, and have a free portrait taken by professional photographers. Join the conversation with ENTConnect!

ENT Careers Live!

Residents and fellows-in-training should visit ENT Careers LIVE! at Booth #339 in Hall C, where the Academy’s partners at Health eCareers are providing free CV reviews by healthcare professionals to benefit those entering the workforce. Also, view more than 200 otolaryngology jobs and prepare for the AAO-HNS Career Fair. The Career Fair, presented from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm Monday at the Omni Dallas Hotel, provides an opportunity to meet face-to-face with more than 30 employers hiring otolaryngology specialists like you.

Poster Presentations highlight the scientific research and case studies for presenters to communicate to attendees with visual displays. This year’s Poster Presentations are intended to engage attendees in dialogue while providing a summary of the presentation that will encourage attendees to learn more. Posters will be on display in Hall C from Sunday through Tuesday.

Hands-On Training

In its debut last year, the Hands-On Training venue proved to be a valuable learning opportunity. Participating physicians receive product training in otolaryngology, led by company representatives and faculty who designed the instrumentation. These two-hour training sessions allow participants to preview the newest innovations in otolaryngology surgical tools on cadaveric specimens. Space is limited, so registration is required.

Product Theater

The AAO-HNSF Product Theater features the work of AAO-HNSF corporate sponsors. In various intervals you can review recent scientific studies and information, or watch a live demonstration performed by a leader in otolaryngology. From 2 pm-3 pm today, see “Sophono—Surgeon Experience with the Sophono Alpha 2 MPO,” sponsored by Medtronic. From 11:30 am-1:30 pm Monday,  see “New Techniques and Applications for Coblation Technology in Otolaryngology,” sponsored by Smith & Nephew. From 2 pm-3 pm Monday,  see “New UltraPulse DUO, now with Fiber Delivery…First Case Experiences,” sponsored by Lumenis.

Quality Exhibitors

Learn about the latest products to help you deliver better patient care. Throughout halls C, D, and E, you will find quality companies that deliver innovative surgical instruments, scopes, electronic billing services, robotics, and an array of medical devices for the industry. It’s imperative that you take a walk through these halls to get caught up on the latest advancements and catch great deals on many of the products you would like to use in your practice.
