Events Focused on International Attendees

International attendees at the AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting & OTO Experience can meet colleagues from around the globe and learn more about important global issues at a special series of education sessions and events.

Sunday

The International Symposium is composed of 25 Miniseminars with speakers from more than 30 countries. Nine sessions headline the event on Sunday, including six presented in Spanish. The sessions continue through Wednesday and cover otolaryngology, practice, and healthcare issues around the world. See “Symposium Explores Global Clinical Issues, Challenges, and Advances.”

The AAO-HNSF Humanitarian Efforts Forum will recognize the commitment to global otolaryngology with presentations and the recognition of award winners. The forum will take place from 1:00 – 3:15 pm in Room N127. See “Global Humanitarian Forum” on page 4.

Regional caucuses offer you an opportunity to discuss topics of common concern within a country’s geographic area. Six regional caucuses are scheduled: the Asia-Pacific Rim Caucus, the Africa Caucus, the Middle East Caucus, the European Summit, Cumbre de Líderes (Latin America Caucus), and the International Women in Otolaryngology Caucus.

A new Annual Meeting event is the International Young Physician’s Forum, scheduled for 3:30 – 4:30 pm in the Global Connections Room, E252. AAO-HNS/F President Gregory Randolph, MD, International Coordinator-Elect Pablo Stolovitzky, MD, and Mark Zafereo, MD, will welcome attendees. The event will feature discussions about the International Resident Exchange Program and the International Young Physicians mentorship program.
