Learning from the OTO Experience

The learning opportunities are not limited to education sessions at the AAO-HNSF 2017 Annual Meeting & OTO Experience. They extend to the OTO Experience, which emulates the theme, “Premiering Tomorrow, Today.”

The OTO Experience features more than 250 exhibiting companies offering products and services. Those companies include device manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, surgical instruments, EMR systems, waiting room solutions, financial management firms, and more.

Some of those companies also have products in the OTO Practice of the Future Pavilion, with its four mock rooms of the future: waiting room, examination room, operating room, and education/training room. Each room offers you a glimpse of your future workspace with hands-on displays of equipment that will be used in medical practices in the years to come.

The emphasis on developing technology also can be seen in the OTO Experience Simulation Zone, where several companies have simulator products on display. These exhibitors provide attendees the opportunity to learn how to use the devices for forward-looking otolaryngology-head and neck surgery procedures.

The OTO Experience also features the Product Theater, where exhibitors plan to make in-depth presentations about products, devices, and services of interest to otolaryngologists.

Another popular attraction of the exhibit hall returns this fall in the Hands-On Demonstration and Training Lab, which provides a platform for attendees to learn surgical procedures on cadavers using tools and equipment provided by a sponsoring company.

New to the OTO Experience this year is the ENT OTC Pavilion. It is being created for exhibitors to showcase their over-the-counter (OTC) products to attendees and discuss how they would best benefit your patients.

Back again for 2017 is the Lunch with the Experts series, conducted within the OTO Experience. This provides an excellent opportunity for conference attendees to interact with otolaryngology legends in an intimate atmosphere of peer exchange and discussion. Tickets can be purchased for $50 during the registration process.

When you walk through the doors of the OTO Experience, you embark on an experiential learning journey like no other. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience. It’s the OTO Experience, one not to be missed.
