OTO Experience: Your Marketplace for Products, Services, and Education

The impressive Georgia World Congress Center is the site for this year’s OTO Experience. Attendees have an open invitation to visit the exhibit hall October 7-9. This is not only a marketplace dedicated solely to the otolaryngology community, but a source of education where attendees can learn firsthand ways to improve upon the care you
provide your patients.

The OTO Experience features over 250 exhibitors who will show you everything that’s new in otolaryngology.

It all starts Sunday, October 7, with the return of the ribbon-cutting ceremony. As you walk in the OTO Experience, prepare to visit over 250 exhibitors to see what’s new in robotics, surgical tools and procedures, aesthetics, imaging and video, scopes, scanners, and even diagnostic technology. All products and services have a familiar theme of quality and efficiency to help you improve patient care.

For a hands-on experience, make your way over to the Mobile BioSkills Lab, a large trailer that can accommodate eager learners and surgical procedures on cadavers, including implant training. Next to that is the return of the ENT OTC Pavilion, established to highlight companies that offer solutions over the counter and without a prescription.

The new and improved AAO-HNSF Practice of the Future Pavilion can’t be missed. Learn what’s new in the waiting room, examination room, and operating room, and what’s being used to train residents and physicians. New to the pavilion is the AAO-HNS/F Store. Here you can purchase Academy-branded t-shirts, sweaters, sweater vests, and coffee mugs, complete with the new logo! Visit www.entannualmeeting.org/academy-products/ to learn more.

Also returning is the popular Portrait Studio, which has been expanded to better accommodate attendees seeking professional headshot photos. This is a free service to AAO-HNS members, complete with makeup artists to help you look your very best. Next to this area is our Product Theater dedicated to education about maxillo-mandibular fixation techniques, therapy for balance and dizziness, and other hearing and ear issues that affect a large segment of your patients.

When it’s time to eat, return to the OTO Experience for your boxed lunch, included in your registration. For an added fee, register for a Lunch with the Experts session. Enjoy a hot lunch while you learn from industry experts in the field on a variety of topics in the specialty.

Right in front of the exhibit hall will be an area dedicated for attendees to bring medical supplies, textbooks and instruments to donate to MedShare, a 501c(3) humanitarian aid organization with headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. The AAO-HNSF is spearheading this donation drive in conjunction with the AAO-HNSF 2018 Annual Meeting & OTO Experience. This humanitarian effort, Otolaryngology United for Global Patient Care, runs now through December 31, and encourages members to contribute by donating much-needed medical equipment and supplies to underserved communities around the world.

The OTO Experience will be open Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, so be sure to plan your schedule to allow for multiple visits over the course of the Annual Meeting.
