Special Opening Ceremony Presentation: A Tribute to Otolaryngology and You!

Sunday, September 13, 10:00 – 11:00 am (ET)

Followed by a live Q&A with Keynote Speaker Joel Selanikio, MD, from 11:00 to 11:30 am (ET)

“Bringing Together the World of Otolaryngology” has taken on a new meaning as the world strives to overcome the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020 Virtual Annual Meeting Opening Ceremony takes a special look at moments that define the specialty and the efforts that drive the work of the AAO-HNSF in serving you. With special remarks from leadership including President Duane J. Taylor, MD, President-Elect Carol R. Bradford, MD, MS, and Executive Vice President and CEO James C. Denneny III, MD, the Opening Ceremony promises to lay the foundation as we embark on the unity of this virtual experience.

Be there in person (or watch it later on demand if your schedule has you at odds with this live event) to witness some of the Opening Ceremony’s customary events done for the first time ever virtually! Meet Dr. Taylor’s awardees for the Presidential Citations; see the traditional acceptance of the gavel; watch the debut of new videos that pay tribute to the specialty during this history-making year; learn more about OTO Logic, the AAO-HNSF’s otolaryngology learning network (successor to AcademyU®); and engage with this year’s dynamic keynote speaker, Joel Selanikio, MD, who will provide a futurist outlook for the healthcare industry as the specialty rebuilds for the future after COVID-19.

The Opening Ceremony is a celebration and recognition of the work of the global otolaryngology community and is an event not to be missed!
